HLPF Side Event: Delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals through Solutions at the Energy, Food and Finance Nexus
About the session
The confluence of the global crises in finance, food and energy, as the world recovers from a pandemic, has created a ‘perfect storm’ that has disrupted livelihoods across the world and derailed progress towards the SDGs. In Asia and the Pacific, innovation is spurring at the nexus of these systems to find solutions that can bring us back on track to achieve Agenda 2030.
This year's Asia-Pacific SDG Partnership report, by ESCAP, ADB and UNDP, serves to better understand the interconnectedness of this polycrisis on energy, food and finance systems and explore opportunities to deliver on the SDGs through new solutions and policy transformations at their nexus.
